• I am glad to announce I have cleared PMP on 28/03/13. Thanks to Mr.Ari and his team. The tips given my Mr.Ari was very useful. Especially leave the tough/big questions on first attempt without reading and comeback after finishing the first round, by doing this we can gain lot of time.
  First time I did not follow this advice and I wasted lot of time. I was bit over confident. After unsuccessful attempt I could not believe and I did not think of taking the exam again. (First time I read Rita, Head first and PMBOK, around Five mock test of IIPM, PM study mock test) After thinking of PMBOK revision, it is do or die now. I bought Andy crowe(Not much information) then PMP for sure online mock tests, tough ITTO is an eye opener.)
  Second attempt during exam I gained lot of time as I followed the advice infact after going through the tough questions in the second round, I had around 30m left finally and I revised from Q100.I corrected few questions boldly since I was in very relaxed mode. After clicking End Exam I was bit doubtful. Finally by God's Grace I have cleared.
  Please go through the PMBOK guide slowly, how much you grasp after reading is very important, any line in PMBOK can turn as a scenario based question.
  Yahoo Group is very useful especially when people share about the preparations after success. My sincere thanks to group members for sharing the tips after success.

  I have cleared the PMP exam on 25th Feb 2013. Thanks to Ari and his team. I had my training session in IIPM Chennai on July 2010. It took more than 2 years for me to appear for the PMP exam. I started my preparation from Dec 2012 with all the IIPM notes, CD, documents and materials. I followed the instructions given by the IIPM trainers and did 4 mockup before the exam.
  IIPM materials are very helpful for me to clear the exam.

• Happy to share, I have Cleared the PMP exam on 27/02/13 (Nov 24 to Dec 2 Batch).
  My application got into audit process and I summited 3 documents Using Speed post Rs 600( 5-6 days to reach, you can track the document) as compare to DHL Rs 2500+ , as soon the document reached it got cleared same day.
  ....Books - Rita, headfirst, IIPM notes (good reference), the pmbok guide glossary(pg426) gives lots of information.
  ITTO it is important to gain the confidence to answer the tricky questions.

• At the beginning, placing my gratitude to Ari & Team. Glad to convey the information that I had cleared my PMP certification on 19/02/13. I was part of PMP Guaranteed pass scheme (May 28-29 & June 03-04 2012).
  Clearing the PMP exam just requires DEDICATED effort, nothing more or less to it. Though, I spent 2 months for preparation, I could not stick on to the plan considering my official things. Luckily, took one week off from office and spent nearly 15 hours per day for the last one week. That yielded me good result today.
  Few things I wanted to share at this moment, Stick on to the plan & this will really help us to boost the morale.
  The exam was mix of medium & tough questions. Many questions were based on situations and few on Earned Value, Network analysis. Nothing much on professional ethics based.
  One thing I would like to share for the aspirants is please do not get tensed when you miss few questions.
  As Ari used to point many times, just leave LENGTHYYYYYYY questions and work it out at the end. This is one big technique we need to follow to plan our time accordingly.

• I am very glad to convey the information you all that I had cleared my PMP certification on 20/02/13.
  Thanks for the efforts by the ALL IIPM faculties. I was part of PMP Guaranteed pass scheme (Dec 24th - 27th 2012).
  The exam was mix of Easy, medium & tough questions. Many questions are lengthy & situational, 15-20 on EV, 3-4 Network analysis, 2-3 on Risk calculations. Nothing much on professional ethics Leave the lengthy questions (ensure that you mark / select any one of the four choices) and proceed and work it out at the end. This is one big technique we need to follow to keep our time.

• I have cleared PMP on 18/02/13. I took the PMP exam prep regular course on Dec 15-18. Glad that I cleared with 3 Ps and 2 MP(E,C).

  ....My preparation:
  1. Took a IIPM mock test straight out of IIPM class and failed(118/200) Then I became a member of PMI and scheduled the exam for today, thinking that I can change later.
  2. Went through Rita Mulcahy(2 times)/PMBOK(2 times) and IIPM materials and took another IIPM test. Here I passed - 70+.
  3. Again gone through Rita/PMBOK. Took test in Rita Fasttrack. Scored 73% .......

• I cleared my PMP on January 03, 2013. I took the November 24-27, 2012 IIPM Guaranteed pass program.
  
   ... I took a total of 10 mock exams (7 from IIPM CD, 2 from Oliver Lehmann, and, 1 from Head First). I did all these till Jan 01 & relaxed completely on Jan 02 since I wanted to refresh my memory.
  
  Finally, all these efforts paid well, and, I was out of the world when I saw the "CONGRATULATIONS" message on screen after the exam. Decide a date & just go for it. All the very best for your exam.

• I was part of IIPM-PMP Guaranteed Pass Course (Oct 27th, 28th,29th and 30th 2012 ). I took PMP exam on Dec 28th and successfully passed the PMP exam within 2 months after the IIPM training.
  
  I really enjoyed IIPM course on PMP exam preparation and it boost the confidence level specially understanding the core PMP concepts in simpler way.
  
  Special Thanks to my mentors including Mr.Ari, Mrs.Preetha and Mr.Narayan. I made good friends during the IIPM course work and good luck to my batch mates on PMP exam.
  
  My study plan is as follows:
  1. PMBOK studied only one time. Every chapter I read PMBOK, I read the same chapter in Headfirst PMP and perform all the exercise and quiz/exams which helps me to gain strong fundamental knowledge of PMBOK concepts. I really enjoyed reading Head first PMP book as its was very user friendly and explains practical PMP concepts in simpler manner.
  
  2. Took 10 IIPM exams. Failed the first 2 exams but the score was near to passing score and passed the remaining exams. Reviewed all the incorrect answers and gained sufficient knowledge in weak areas. I enjoyed most of the tricky questions After practicing IIPM and Rita Mulachy fast track exams I felt in general, majority of PMP exam questions are not that tough but its most situational questions which enforces on underlying PMBOK concepts.

• I am very happy to inform all of you that I have cleared the PMP Exam on 17 Dec'12. I was part of IIPM's PMP Exam Prep “Guaranteed Pass course (22, 23 & 29, 30 Sep'12).

  In my PMP exam, it took 3 hours 10 mins to complete 200 questions. Mr.Ari's tips was very helpful to achieve this time duration.

• Practice makes perfect !! I have cleared my PMP exam on 28/11/12.
  I did a SOURCE SELECTION CRITERIA and landed up in IIPM. I would like to thank Ari, Narayanan, Preetha for their guidance towards PMP. 
  
  Ari's words "We are not looking for 100% mark in the exam" was a driving factor for me.
  
  EXECUTE the training by going through each topics on IIPM Material, PMP Exam Prep – Rita Mulcahy and PMBOK. I did VALIDATE my preparations soon after each Knowledge area completion through exercise / test.   We are thankful to Mr Arivazagan and other faculty for providing necessary guidance and inputs for PMP examination and to all the staff of IIPM for the excellent arrangements made during 4 days of PMP training programme.
  
  In addition to the CD provided by IIPM, we relied on Rita Mulcahy, Kim Heldman and PMBOK guide. I got more number of questions on problems in EVM, PERT / CPM / Critical Chain / Quality Control / Payback / NPV than expected normally.
  
  The trick suggested by Mr Ari for these type of questions i.e. to click an answer and mark immediately for review and revisit at the end, had been really useful.
  
  It has taken the entire 4 hours to complete the exam, as the length of the questions were average 3-5 lines (on full display on the monitor). When we use the CD for practice, it takes about 3-3.15 hours.

• Attempting the IIPM CD questions and the simulation exam is very much necessary. Though directly questions from CD may not appear, you can answer majority of the questions in the PMP examnination based on the inputs and knowledge gained from the IIPM CD. It is a wonderful resource to gain confidence.

• I have cleared my PMP exam on 01/10/12 in first attempt. I took my PMP prep course at IIPM in Feb'12.
  I Read PMBOK, RITA and practiced mock tests in IIPM’s PMP CD and noted down the weak areas.
  Most of the exam questions were designed to test our level of knowledge in applying process groups. EVM formulas are also quite important as many questions are from this section.
  
  My Sincere suggestion is don't delay the exam after training as you will lose the touch. First book the appointment in advance (45 days ahead at least) study for 2-3 hours daily and definitely you will crack the exam.

• I cleared my PMP on 25/09/12, about a month after I took the class. Scored 4 PROFICIENT and 1 Moderately PROFICIENT. Roughly 150 hours of effort spent post-training.
  My tips based on my experience to those taking the exam:
  1. Practice and pay attention to EVM formulae and even PV/FV questions.
  2. Sample Mock test CD provided by IIPM was very helpful.
  3. Plan your timing well. I say this despite the fact that I used to be able to complete practice exams in 3 hours but the actual exam took me 3 hrs 45 minutes. I Scored 70-90% in my first IIPM exam. But in my last 2 exams before PMP exam I scored 80-90% (including headfirst). The point of taking multiple exams is that it exposes gaps in your understanding.
  4. Study becomes easy and enjoyable when you approach it from the purpose of a job or an interview.

• I took the PMP Exam today and cleared it.  I belong to the August Batch of IIPM.I owe it to Ari and his team for the excellent guidance and advice. Selvan was very helpful and was encouraging me through out.The materials I used were PMBOK guide and Rita Mulcahy (Sixth edition).
   
  The IIPM CD was very helpful in preparing for the exam.  It especially helped me in preparing myself physically.  I would suggest you to take this aspect seriously as you
  tend to lose concentration after 2 to 21/2 hours.  40 days of effort(3 hours a day and little more during weekends) would suffice.  Take off from your work on the last week.

• I cleared the PMP exam yesterday. Got Proficient in Planning and Execution and Moderately Proficient in rest of the areas. It was a great experience.
  
  I studied Rita (the one based on PMBOK 3) once. I took off from my work for 10 straight days and wrote full practice exams in Oliver Lehmann, Headfirst, PMStudy, IIPM (CD), Rita, Yancy(cos &, time). This helped me a lot and somehow compensated for me not reading the PMBOK at least 4 times.
  
  In the exam, I took 3 hr and 30 mins to finish all 200 questions. Reviewed the marked questions for 30 mins.Many questions need you to have a clear understanding of Inputs / Tools and Techniques / Outputs and where and when exactly you would employ them. Many questions need you understand clearly the various definitions and related intricacies to understand the question itself.

• congratulations message on my PMP exam to announce that i have become a PMP on Monday, 21st December, just before the new year. I'm associated with IIPM since feb'08, when i attended the 4-day
  PMP preparatory course and was not finding time for my preparations due to office pressures.
  
  Finally i manage to get 3 months time and spent 2 hours daily in the first 2 months to achieve the objective. In the Last month spent 4 hours daily & in the last week i spent 6 to 8 hours of study. I would like to Thank My family & Mr. Ari for their encouragement & Mr.Selvan resolving issues with IIPM CD My sincere advise to all PMP aspirants is "Not to Postpone the Exam" after the preparatory course. Otherwise it would take lot of time for the preparations as in my case.
  
  My study plan was
  1) PMBOK - 4th edition - once
  2) RITA Mulcahy - sixth edition -twice
  3) Took knowledge area wise tests from IIPM CD + 2 Mock tests from IIPM CD in the last week of my preparation to understand my mental & physical focus for the 4 hour exam sitting preparation. I have planned a break exactly after 2 hours during exam, which helped in the exam as well.
  4) Then again revised PMBOK once thoroughly & revised the RITA with extra focus to the exercise questions..
  
  Please Note all the time keep memorizing the ITTO of all processes continuously.

  I prepared for my exam as below:
                      I studied Rita for two times and PMBOK one time. I have done all the exercises of IIPM for two time only in the individual knowledge area. I took one total simulation but I failed. However I realized why I failed. The reason is no concentration in the question paper and lot of frustration after attending 50 questions. In the real exam I completed all the questions in 2.30 hrs and in the balance 1.30 hrs I reviewed all the questions in serial order and I corrected may be 5 to 6 questions. Thanks to IIPM and Ari once again.

  5) Read and attempted the RITA practice tests twice with a gap of 15 Days.
  6) To perform the above, I listed my time-wasters and avoided them.

  1) Know the Inputs ,T& T and Outputs for the knowledge areas & key formula (its there in the IIPM yahoo group-Files) in your finger tips ........this will aid in answering many questions.
  2) Ensure you take as many mock test-(Minimum 7 tests) as possible. This will increase your confidence level and also will aid you to pass the actual PMP^® exam.

• I am happy to say that I have passed the PMP exam today. I belong to July-2006 couldn’t prepare for the exam because of other engagements. After postponing 3 times, I got fed up and took leave from work for a week and I am glad I made it. I went through the IIPM material, went through Rita once, revised IIPM material a day before the exam and took one mock test from the IIPM CD. I would recommend the PMP aspirants to go through Rita carefully as I found it very interesting and helpful. I wasted a lot of time memorizing the inputs, tools & techniques and outputs for the processes in each of the knowledge areas unsuccessfully. • I am happy to announce that I have passed the PMP exam. I could not appear for the same in BAHRAIN, country where I reside, as here PMI conducts PBT only. Despite this country has so many prometric centres, it was very strange though. As part of my contingency plan, I appeared for the exam in Saudi Arabia. I made it a point to read each question twice before I answered any of them, however confident the answer seemed. • I took my exam in DUBLIN on Saturday. I got through the exam as well. It was tougher than what I expected. It nearly consumed all my 4-hours of time. Most of the questions were simulated situation and hardly any mathematical question. Most of them were lengthy too. My suggestion to aspirants is CONCENTRATION is key to success and stick to PMBOK Standards. • At my first outset I would like to thank for the valuable sessions and ground breaking concepts during your training by you (IIPM). I was completed 35 PDUs during August 06. This week I have completed the PMP. The examination was enjoying and was similar to the IIPM mock test.
  
  I followed your time management suggestions in the exam and completed it in 3 hours, I spent 15 Minutes for focusing and writing down formulae, Process table etc. Also, I took four times break for around 15 minute together. Last half an hour I spent for review and finally after review I closed my eyes for last 1 minute. Then I found Congratulations message on my screen.
  
  I took the examination at Prometric Hyderabad, and found it to be calm and pleasing. Initially I was thinking a lot, and even my colleagues were kidding on me when I paid 450 USD for 35 PDUs when my company itself offers free session for 35 PDUs. But, I considered it as an investment. Now it has realized. I got several project to lead. The PMP journey with PMIism is really great and enjoying/challenging.
  
  As I asked during your session, since the HR/COMMUNICATION sessions were took by other faculties and you promised me to provide the DVDs of your sessions. Can you give those DVDs to me If possible? I feel it should add value to my career.
  
  I feel you are doing a great job and your experience is amazing. I'm personally confident IIPM will bring out many powerful managers in India & World.

• I am very happy to say that I have passed the PMP exam. I registered for the 3 months online course. The way the course was laid out online was very helpful. Other than this, I used PMP study guide by Kim Heldman, Claudia Baca and Patti Jansen. Took 7 mock tests and consistently scored between 70-80 % and completed in 2 hrs 45 minutes.
  
  I took the actual exam on Feb 7th. It was very different. None were direct questions all of them were situation questions. It took 3 hours 45 minutes to complete and I had only 15 minutes to review when I hit finish and was waiting for the results it was a moment of tension. But I was excited when I saw the message “CONGRATULATIONS”.

• I am happy to announce that I have cleared the PMP exam…….. Here are some of the TIPS that should help you guys:
  
  1. Try to take the exams within 2 months of the training. You are going to stretch it for long, then you might loose.
  2. Try to take as much notes as you can during Ari’s session going through them again should help you get quite a bit of questions right.
  3. Do not refer to too many materials. I referred just PMBOK and Rita. That should be more than enough.
  4. Take the mock test (Provided by IIPM) at least 5-6 time before you appear for the exam.

I used the CD in study mode efficiently, took 5 Mock tests from the IIPM CD and one test from the PMI study site (Passed in all mock exams!!) and finally able to make it in the final exam.

Hi All,

    This is Balaji. I attended IIPM's PMP prep course in the Aug 26/27, Sep 2/3 weekend batch. I cleared the certification test yesterday(18Oct) morning. I took the test at Chennai Prometric
centre.

    I had scheduled the test immediately after the course so that I had about 6 weeks preparation time. But for 2 weeks, I was stuck with Chikungunya and could not do anything fruitful during that time. To fast track, I prepared rigourously the last 3 weeks, took a couple of mock tests from the IIPM CD.

      The following is the set of materials I studied:

     1. RITA : once.
     2. PMBOK : once
     3. PMP exam guide (Joseph Philips): once.
     4. IIPM course materials and scribbled notes: twice.

     The test was a lot tougher than I had expected. There were more than 70% situational type questions. During the first pass of the questions, I could answer not more than 50 of them perfectly and confidently. Having decided to almost give up, I took a break and decided to carry on. The second pass was good and I tried to answer each question reading the question 3-5 times. I utilized the 4 hours completely and was reviewing when the test ended automatically. The screen hung for around a minute and then flashed "Congratulations". Whoa! I am a PMP now!!

     I would like to thank Ari for the splendid and lively training sessions. His examples and suggestions very were valuable and had created a lot of impact.

• I am one of the last bogie attached in the Successful Express train "IIPM June 04 2005". It was very exciting to see the result and I broke down immediately after seeing "Congratulations". My sincere thanks to Mr. Ari. Few of the Method I adopted during exam was:
  
  1) Marked all the 200 Questions for Review
  2) In the scratch paper, I created three columns with Heading of "? (Low doubt \)", "?? (Double Doubt)", "??? (More Doubt)".
  3) I colud see only 200 questions totally all the three column put together.
  4) Once I finished all the 200 Questions, I took a Break
  5) Came back started reviewing.
  6) First I took the "More Doubt" columns to be reviewed and then "Double Doubt" and then "Low Doubt".
  7) Once I cleared these questions, I went back randomly to check the answers.

  Read question twice and read all the choices. When Ari asked us to note down the tips on the class I was wondering when Ari asked us to note down the tips on the class I was wondering  why is he telling such simple tips. Read question twice.. read all choices...etc
  In Exam hall I realised the importance of reading question twice. Fact is that for exam I had to read more than 2 rimes to completely  understand what they were asking for.

A lot of excitement fills my heart at this moment and I am still in the celebration mood for passing the PMP exam. I passed the exam with a score of 86.66%.

A mammoth Salute for you Sir, in making me a PMP. Your lectures that I heard during the month of April still sound in my ears and some of the examples you cited during the course, I could remember for ever. The most significant thing I learnt from the IIPM is the skill to eliminate the wrong answer from the correct one which I applied for most of questions. I hope, one has to master this skill to pass the exam. Next comes your tips and traps which very well helped me to swim easy. And one cannot neglect the CD collection of 2000 question.
